Recipients of the fourth stimulus check and Social Security

Stimulus checks have been a boon for millions of Americans since the pandemic began, but seniors have been hit hardest and are looking for a fourth stimulus check.

There have been three stimulus checks so far, including two in 2020 and one in 2021.

This has Americans wondering if, and when, there will be a fourth stimulus check.

What happens if I miss my economic payment?

Seniors and fourth stimulus check

One group is fighting hard for fourth stimulus checks, especially the elderly.

The Senior League called on Congress to send another check for $1,400 to seniors collecting Social Security.

Their need is greater due to the fact that they live on a fixed income.

The COLA increase, which would increase their monthly income, was 5.9% for 2022.

Although that’s incredibly high in recent history, the announcement was made in October 2021.

In December 2021, the inflation rate exceeded 7%.

In addition to inflation, Medicare prices are rising.

Seniors admitted to cutting back on intake and eating one meal a day, as well as halving their prescription medications.

Will the elderly see a fourth stimulus check in the future?

Currently, there is no indication that there is a fourth payment for seniors who collect Social Security.

Although not ideal, President Biden’s Build Back Better bill contains provisions to benefit seniors from Social Security and Medicare.

The bill was expected to pass in late 2021, but the Senate could not reach an agreement.

If adopted, Medicare will include hearing services.

There will also be more government control when it comes to negotiating the price of prescription drugs.
