A very specific group of people can expect a stimulus check worth up to $ 6,300 by December 15, just in time for Christmas.
Students at an Atlanta medical school are eligible for stimulus funding given to the school to help cover expenses related to their education.
The Morehouse School of Medicine will provide its students with a financial donation of $ 6,300 each.

This helps cover the costs of child care, groceries, transportation, housing and health care.
The money came from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act, which was passed by former President Donald Trump in March 2020.
The law was worth $ 2.2 trillion and was created to help Americans financially as the pandemic unfolded.
A $ 14 billion program was created for colleges and their students through the Higher Education Emergency Fund.

$ 21.1 billion was added to the fund in January.
Subsequently, an additional $ 39.6 billion was added.
754 Morehouse students expect payments of $ 6,300 by Dec. 15.

The school received $ 56 million in total funding.
Meharry Medical College in Tennessee also received funding and sent its 956 students scholarships worth up to $ 10,000 each.
Their students should have received the money two weeks ago.
